I have done a beam analysis and the shear at the middle is excactly 0. When i use " SECTION 0.5 MEMB 1" the results are okay. That means in the output file "shear y" is 0 at position 0.5.
But when i use SECTION command with 2 or 3 positions the results are not correct. For example, i have use the command "SECTION 0.25 0.5 0.75 MEMB 1" for the same example. and i have got huge value for "shear y" at 0.5 position. But it should be 0.
Anyone knows what's the reason?

Yes, this appears like a defect in the application. I have reported this issue as a defect #1049473 for the development team in order to address it in the upcoming versions of STAAD.Pro. Thank you for bringing this issue into our attention.
