I just go a more recent version of RAM SS and when I run the beam module there are certain beam that now show that they fail in deflection. But when I look at the report the beam does not fail in deflection. I have tried deleting the beam and putting it back in. As well as deleting and putting back in the slab and loads.
Are you sure is passes deflection? You have to check the end of the report (View Results) compared to your deflection criteria. Resetting the deflection criteria and rerunning the design would be the next thing to try.

I did try this. It seems the errors occur with beams that run parallel to the deck span and do not have another member framing into it. Changing the deflection criteria to something more stringent, is the only way to make it not have the -2.00 deflection error. Deleting the slab, deck and beam did not work.
