STAAD Foundation Advanced CE do not check eccentric foundation
I was tried to design a isolated foundation with a eccentricity and the program shown a warning message, that the function was unable to perform the design. Does exist any particular reazon to disable this feature? And does exist any date for realese this feature again?
The second point that I notice, at Data Imput Pane the pedestal bar size are block, Does exist any particular reazon to disable this feature? And does exist any date for realese this feature again?
Regards,
Yes the footing design with eccentric column was disabled temporarily as it was not correctly implemented. The good news is that our development team has reinstated the feature and it will be available in the next release which is coming out in a couple of weeks.
The pedestal bar sizes should be active though. Please ensure that you are using the latest SFA 9.1.0.14 version and the Consider Pedestal radio button is set to Yes.
Any update on this.
I thought the update will be released in couple of weeks from Setember 21, 2019 and its more than a month already??????
We are in the last stages of testing and the new version should be released in November. If there is a particular model for which you can provide us the input (upload an SFA file and let us know the column offset values), we can run it here and provide the calculation report.
Thank you Kris for the update. We will just wait for the update release within this month...
Hi Kris,
Any update on the release of SFA CE??
We have already started the process of going through the final set of checks before the software gets posted on the Bentley SELECT downloads site. So, you should see it there in the next few days.
The version 9.2.0.34 is now available for download from the Bentley software downloads page.
Will be the footing be designed considering the additional moments that are going to be generated due to the eccentricity. Will the footing be designed even for the negative base pressure. What i have been seeing in the message is the negative pressures are nullified by the software, how will it actually work practically?
