Hi,
I just saw the news for the new release, and wondering if there is more information on what the setting "Combination Methods" does?
Is this only for the physical modeler for generating automatic combinations? If I made a manual Primary Load Case that uses the REPEAT command for other Primary Load cases (or Reference Load Cases), does this setting impact this combination? Or, is this only for the COMBINATION load definition that would treat the load cases defined in the COMBINATION case as REPEAT loads?
Thanks in advance!
This option instruct the program how load combinations from the Physical Modeler should be transferred into the Analytical Modeler. This is an excerpt from the Physical Modeler help:
Analytical superposition – this method adds load combinations normally which is appropriate for linear, first-order elastic theory
Primary load cases with Repeat – load combinations are added as repeat loads in the analytical model which should be used for any non-linear analysis
