OPENSTAAD

Question

Hi, 
 I am not aware of VB or any other such language, can i still use OPENSTAAD ? Is anywhere directory available from where "Ready made" codes are available to be copied n pasted or utilized. If yes please share the link .

Some amount of programming experience is needed to use OpenSTAAD. However you can always give this a shot by looking at the OpenSTAAD help documentation that we provide with STAAD.Pro. Please use the latest STAAD.Pro CONNECT Edition where the OpenSTAAD documentation has been significantly improved with many sample macros and detailed instructions on how to create those.

You can go to the example folder of OpenSTAAD located in C:\Users\Public\Documents\STAAD.Pro CONNECT Edition\Samples\Sample Models\OpenSTAAD . Here you can find few sample codes which you can use and explore. Also there are several ready codes available for download in the file section of Bentley Communities site. If you want to learn about OpenSTAAD and how to write a code from scratch, you can go through the videos posted in official Bentley YouTube channel (start with https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dAPOovb-4GU&t=23s ).
