During Base plate design for axial compression load after providing A2 i.e support with pedestal longitudinal dimension 36 in and transverse dimension 24 in,A2 should be 36X24=864 sqin,But it is showing ,
A2 = ((B/N)*Ncs)*Ncs
=((19/33)*36)*36
=746.18 sqin
Can not find this equation,A2 = ((B/N)*Ncs)*Ncs in the reference DG1, sec 3.1.1.
Can you help with that......

If total area considered as provided for A2 should not greater than 48X18=864 sqin but it becomes 928.8 sqin. what is the reason for that. .cnx file is attached at that comment by Nazmul Haq...

It looks like the program is assuming that the length of the pedestal will be enough to maintain the aspect ratio of the BP when the width of the pedestal is reached (i.e. 43/15 * 18 = 51.6"), but in this case it should be limited to 48". Increasing the pedestal width to 20" cause A2 to come back in line. I'll report the error.
