I'm modeling a concrete two-way slab structure including multiple permanent "movement joints" with Ram SS.
In my model, movement joints are mostly located at the middle of spans and if I develop completely separated edges at each side of the joint, then half of the span will act as cantilever slab which is not correct because ram creates two separated diaphragms and there would be no shear transfer. I need to say that the movement joint detailing has round dowels to facilitate vertical load transfer without tension capacity.
My question is how to model a movement joint in ram ss "to be capable" to transfer vertical load without tension capacity? does ram ss has a solution for this issue?

If you are trying to create a hinge in a 2 way slab, there is no direct way to do that. Using a sliver of slab, say 1 ft wide that has reduced thickness, or high out-of-plane bending cracked factor could work approximately. Using a system of beams with pinned or fixed ends rather than a 2-way slab is the alternative.
