Cannot draw plates over the beams

Hi everyone,

I am new to STAAD.Pro. For practice i modeled a one story reinforced concrete monolithic residential building in staad, but when i drew plates and saw them in 3d rendering they are not drawn over the beams, instead they are inside the beams (see screenshots). My point is that in monolithic concrete structures the beams should not be visible from the top view,

how to solve this problem???, or are they correct the way they are???

I hope that my question is clear and not meaningless because my English is a bit weak.

  • Thank you AndrejLogunov,

Just for an experiment I firstly analysed and designed the building with the slab and beams connected by their centerlines, then for the second time i used the offset member option and again I analysed and designed the building, looking at the results there was no difference between them,

So does that mean I shouldn't offset the beams in future or do you think I may have made any mistakes????
