Modeling rods as tension members - errors

Hello,

I have a Canopy model with cable stays. To model the cable stays, I modeled them as a pipe material with a very small inner diameter to closely resemble a rod, as defined here:

I used the MEMBER TENSION command and assigned this command to the rods. I get these following errors:

I am not sure how to resolve the errors. Any suggestions would be highly appreciated!
