Section wizard _ no import dxf in new version

You should still be able to import a DXF using the Free Sketch tool. Your first screenshot is of the main Section Wizard window, where as your second screenshot is from Free Sketch.

1. In STAAD.Pro CONNECT Edition, select the Section Wizard tool in the Tools group on the Specification ribbon tab. Section Wizard opens.
2. In Section Wizard, select Tools > Free Sketch. The Free Sketch window opens.
3. Select File > Import DXF. 
4. Select your .dxf file and then click Open.

There are limitations on the type of cad entities supported. Please refer to the online help topic for details.

If you want to switch back to the Section Builder interface, select Service > Section Builder.

Now I understand that I  need one more step which is to go to free sketch tool for importing dxf.
