I want to camber a steel beam .I am putting the value 750 (length/offset =30000mm/40mm(we need to camber it 40 mm)) and respect value 1.6 but results are still same with deflection 50mm .Why deflection is not decreasing? Kindly also guide me on how to calculate respect value.file is attached.3835.Str1 (2).std
You may change the RESPECT to a lower value like 0.01 as shown next CAMBER Y 750 RESPECT 0.01 ALL
and also add a small compression to the beam
A modified file is attached. For a beam of this span and size, the difference in displacement by using a camber of 40mm is not very significant but there is a reduction in displacement ( observed change in the third digit after the decimal point)

I observe both files but i am getting the same deflection 50.159mm in both files .There is no any change in deflection.If we are cambering a beam 40mm then why deflection is not decreasing 40mm?
