Do you know how can I get the design of the beam to work for Seismic provisions that is to check for capacity based design?
Since these models usually have diaphragms that prevent axial force in the beam we can't automate this. You can hand verify the beam axial and moment capacity. I usually assume that the beam axial force = the change in frame story shear for the seismic load that controls, factored accordingly, and then consider that in the beam standard provisions code check.
