WHEM I WANT TO DESIGN PILE CAP THAN IT NEED TO DEFILE PILE CAPACITY IN WHICH PILE DIA, COMPRESSION CAPACITY, TENSION CAPACITY AND SHAER CAPACITY SO MY QUESTION IS IT IS CALCULATED MANUALLY IF YES THAN FINE IF NOT THAN HOW TO PIC THESE VALUES FROM STAAD.
RPLY ASAP
Yes, you need to calculate the capacity values manually.
The calculation of Pile capacities involves not only structural engineering principles, but those of geotechnical engineering too. You may be able to use a program that performs reinforced concrete column design to calculate the capacities from the structural engineering perspective. But to determine the capacity from the Geotechnical engineering principles, you either need the help of a Geotech engineer, or a software like PLAXIS. The final capacity of the pile will likely be the smaller among the two.
THANKYOU....CAN YOU PLEASE SHARE ANY REFERENCE FOR CALCULATION.
Actually in case of RCDC or Staad Foundation pile capacity is defined by user upto which capacity user want to design the pile cap.
