Is there a way to change the section dimensions when creating a built-up member via Section Wizard?
e.g. I am trying to model sections of an old bridge (pre-ASTM), and want to change properties such as the thickness of a flange or an angle, but I don't see how to edit this information via the Section Wizard, they only have standard shapes.
The Section Builder module in Section Wizard does not allow modifying the standard sections. You may consider drawing the sections using the Free Sketch module of Section Wizard or use the Define Profile Polygon option within the User Table > General section in STAAD.Pro
So once I create one shape in Free Sketch, how can I bring that shape into the Section Wizard? I need to use multiple Free Sketch shapes to assemble the built-up section
You cannot bring the shapes from Free Sketch into Section Builder. You would have to draw the entire built up section in Free Sketch and export it to STAAD.Pro from there itself. Free Sketch does support import of DXF and so if you have a CAD file for the profile, that may be an option too.
