Does RAM SS check the compactness of sections for steel gravity design (beams & columns) ? That is compact/ non-compact/ slender member per Chapter B (AISC 340 SCM). Chap G & F also uses some equations to correct the capacities ( based on flexure or compression). Does RAM SS take that into account?
The program considers compactness criteria from the AISC 360 specification, and when seismic provisions are used considered also from AISC 341 (but AISC 340 is not part of the program).
