Is there a way to edit beam end releases in a spreadsheet format in Staad Analytical Model?
Thanks!
Hi,On Specifications page, there is an upper Specification values table where you can edit the release conditions/values.
Isn't that just the "type" of release that can get assigned to any beam? I want to see a spreadsheet that shows each beam and their end releases. Here I have beams which major and minor axis release. I can see this visually but I don't see each beam in the spreadsheet.
Yes that table just lists all the releases that you have defined as line items. It does not show each beam with the corresponding release. So it is not what you are looking for. I cannot think of a direct way of getting the releases in a spreadsheet but I have created the following wiki which would allow you to get the release data into an excel

Thank you.We are trying to make Staad our "standard" software and I feel like it is in a wierd place right now. The physical modeler has a much more intuitive interface (GUI) and user experience. You can make changes via cursor or via spreadsheet. The analytical model has a great concept where you create "definitions" and then apply these to members, nodes, etc. You can also use the "command line" which seems like a great added bonus. But the standard user interface/GUI excpiernce is, well, not-so-great. There are many dialogue boxes / spreadsheets that are "grayed-out" which is frustrating thing for a user (knowing where something is, but can't change it). In anycase, it seems to be progressing in the right direction, but also feels like a confusing time to learn the program.
