I am using STAAD Connect version 21.00.02.43.
I have been trying to create a staad file for direct analysis with notional loads. However, when opening the file as indicated in the image,
the software stops responding. This does not happen when removing the notional load command under the repeat loads. I am adding the
staad file for reference.
1263.Analysis_2 - Test.std
And every time, after closing the program as per the snapshot above, when I reopen this file in an editor such as Notepad I find the part defining direct analysis to be deleted.
I ran it successfully on version 22.03.00.28 (latest), however, I had to change FYLD 253200 in the Direct Analysis Definitions to FYLD 5184, because STAAD correctly thought it was too large and would not run.
BTW, I noticed there was no code checking done. Once you get this working, you are going to add that, aren't you?
Yes, this is one of the staad learning files that I simply edited to test the syntax of the STAAD inputs commands for the intended final STAAD file.
