We need analysis a structure of shipping container, and there is two problems on it:
1: How to model container's top plate and releated insulating layer and analysis the effection on the top steel frame?
2: When analysis Wind load and seismic load , how to add top plate and related insulation layer on it?

You can account for insulation layer by using an increased selfweight load factor, say, 1.05 instead of 1.0.
