We used STAAD.Pro SS6 before and to separate the long term case and the short term case, we used the parameter TMP which does not divide the FYLD by 1.5.
In the new CONNECT Edition, the allowable is always divided by 1.5 and the TMP parameter is gone.
How do we solve this without multiplying factors to the load combination?
I'm sorry but can you expound on this? What difference does it make if I use envelope instead of load list before the design parameters?
No
For the load case, since the temporary load has an allowable of 1.5 times the long term allowable, do I still need to multiply the temporary load case with 0.667?
TMP parameter has been deprecated. You need to create a 'Temporary' load envelope and include your load case into that envelope. List that load envelope using 'LOAD LIST ENV #Number' command before the design parameter(s).
