How to find out joints with maximum Velocity in a time history analysis under harmonic load?

Does anyone know how to find out joints with maximum Velocity in a time history analysis under harmonic load?

Print joint displacements will give you a list of max vibration amplitudes during the whole time history for each joint. Is there a way to do the same for velocity? For now, i need to click each node to check their velocity time history and then determine the max velocity at each node. With  thousands of nodes, you really can not find out which node have the max vibration velocity?

Any feedback will be greatly appreciated.

BTW, this is for STAAD Pro connection edition.

  • I don't think this is possible as of now. One can get joint displacement, member forces and support reactions for all joints and members and get the maximum out of these but it is not the same for velocities or accelerations. So for now you need to get the time history of the velocity on a node by node basis to find out the maximum response. Nodes which are subjected to the maximum displacement may be inspected for max velocity and accelerations as well.
