How to use connect editon in managing IFC biles in between Bentley Softwares.
I.E. STAAD to PLAXIS 3D, SOIL Vision to PLAXIS 3D., BIM Modeler to BRIDGE DESIGN (Leap Concrete + Leap Steel) and same again to PLAXIS 3D to check differantial setltement.
You can create ISM Repositories from your STAAD.Pro model which can then be opened in the Structural Synchronizer application and that application has the option to import/export IFC files ( through File > IFC Exchange)
I had modeled Offshore structures in plaxis 3D., i need to convert the same file to sacs for some checks as needed. i am using connect edition .
I am not getting your earlier answer ., please elaborate briefly.Where is structural synchronizer application ? it is in built with staad or plaxis ??
I think plaxis does not have it. but manual says about IFC exchange.
Expecting early response.

Hi
In PLAXIS 3D CONNECT Edition V20, you can also use the ISM repositories to include a repository or create a new ISM repository to allow for this interoperability of the model. Here is a screenshot from the latest version (PLAXIS 3D CONNECT Edition V20 Update 2):
As for the Structural Synchronizer, it is installed with the latest PLAXIS 3D by default (unless you unchecked the option during installation of course).
Using IFC is also possible to import into PLAXIS, see e.g. https://communities.bentley.com/products/geotech-analysis/w/plaxis-soilvision-wiki/45842/creating-a-model-with-ifc-and-point-cloud-importBut exporting is not yet possible, mainly because there is no standard yet for Geotechnical Engineering in IFC as far as I know.
