[Ram Concept] Error ABoundaryShape2D

Hi All,

I encounter an issue with Ram Concept V8 Update 1 - Version 08.01.00.027. The model, which was created by Ram Concept V8.0 - Version 08.00.00.19, cannot run, but shows the error as per the screenshot below. Note that this model can run in the version V8.0. I tried following the instruction of deleting CAD background as per the link below, but it still does not work.

Furthermore, I tried to make a new copy of the model by making a template and migrating all of the layers to a new model. The analysis can be run successfully. However, the error happens again after I adjust some tendons.

Could I have some advice please? I have uploaded the model by using the Secure File Upload.

Cheers,

  • There is a geometry issue with the meshed wall elements that is leading to this error when the strips are generated. I have found two ways to eliminate the error:

    1) Change the properties of Latitude Span Segments 15-1 and 20-1 and Longitude Span Segments 48-1, 52-1, and 54-1 and uncheck the box for detecting supports and edges automatically. You can keep the entered support widths that are recognized by the program.

    2) Remodel the walls selected in the first image below so that they are segmented at the intersecting wall as shown in the second image. When remodeling, carefully snap the wall ends to the wall centerlines. You will need to regenerate the mesh before attempting to generate the strips or run the analysis.
