Recently I updated to Staad.Pro 22.04.00.40 just to find out that all my custom sections that I added into the Section Database are now missing. Naturally, compiling this information took a lot of time and now I have to look up again for the same sections that were used in all my different models for different projects.
When STAAD.Pro is uninstalled, it would keep a copy of any modifications under a Backup folder
C:\Users\<your_user_name>\AppData\Local\Bentley\Engineering\STAAD.Pro CONNECT Edition\Backup …\Sections.
Please go to that folder and look for a db3 file. You may then copy this db3 file and replace the one with the same name within the folder
C:\ProgramData\Bentley\Engineering\STAAD.Pro CONNECT Edition\Sections and then you should be able to access the modified database. However before you replace, I would suggest keeping a backup of the original db3 file.

Unfortunately, in none of the 4 backup folders is there a db3 file.
I see. I will check with our development team on why the db3 file did not get backed up in this case. Please try a search by that db3 file name to check if you have a copy at another location in your machine. If there is any other machine where this db3 file was copied to, then you may get it from there. For the future, I would suggest keeping a copy of any db3 files that you may have modified ( from within the folder C:\ProgramData\Bentley\Engineering\STAAD.Pro CONNECT Edition\Sections), before uninstalling so that you retain these modified databases
