Hello. STAAD gives this error yet the joint number is created in the JOINT COORDINATES command, as shown below:
Therefore, I am not sure why I am getting this error:
Another thing - At the start of the model, I get the following errors and I am unsure why they show:
Please advise. I've attached my model for your reference.
Canopy - Rev-02.std
Thank you.
I was able to get rid of the "Error, Plate # ... is NOT valid" messages at initial start of model. But I still get the joint no. errors when trying to run analysis.
Here's the attached updated model.
Canopy - Rev 03.std
Thanks.
Hi,
I've renumbered the nodes and the error gone away. See the attached modified model.6242.test.STD
AndrejLogunov, is there a different way to renumber the nodes? Could you do it this way?
I'd like to do so to keep the same code format. Also, I'd like to see what is wrong with this JOINT COORDINATES command and/or with how I create my elements here:
AndrejLogunov, any update on this? By the way, I don't know if the commands I wrote in snapshots are correct for renumbering. Please advise/show me how. Thanks.
Just before the MEMBER INCIDENCES command, add the line
PRINT JOINT COORDINATES
Just before ELEMENT INCIDENCES command, add the lines
PRINT JOINT COORDINATESFINISH
Run the analysis, and view the joint numbers for both the reports. Check if they match your expectations.
You have a DELETE MEMBER 1 command just before the ELEMENT INCIDENCES. remove it from that location and place it just before the commands
UNIT INCHES KIPMEMBER PROPERTY AMERICAN
Attached is the file with this change.
