what is manning of M22 in load table where we can moment value get this in staad.pro ?
plz explain. and I attach load table plz check this sir.
M22 is the weak axis bending moment at the end of the beam.
means minor axis bending moment kk sir
if you made BCF moment connection from staad, pro connect edition its not consider M22 value sir why ? reason sir?
Some connections only check for major axis shear and moment. In the Ram Connection Stand-alone, joint definition dialog is a table that shows which force types are considered in the various connection types.
Thanks for the reply sir, Can you please guide on the above two snaps. The snap is regarding Beam to column endplate connection. I have made input for moment in M33 in input Tab. However in output we can see to rows one for M1 & other for M2.
Please confirm does M1 means Major axis moment & M2 means Minor moment ?
M2 is by default Zero, i am unable to input any value to M2.
Is this connection only for Uniaxial moment ?
Is there any template available in Ram where beam to column moment connection can be established for biaxial moment?
Thanks & Regards
Vairavan
Your output looks different than mine, so you might first want to check that your STAAD and Ram Connection are both up to date. The Moment End Plate - BCF connections for AISC code are for major axis bending only. Minor axis bending would be ignored.
Sir, the out put shown in screenshot above is from Ram Standalone version that's why it may appear different to you.
Also the code used here is IS-800:2007.
Please let me know apart from BCF which connection template can be used to design bi-axial moment connection. Even a different code will do for me.
