UNDER PHYSICAL Modeller
I am unable to add a load Group e.g a Dead Load Group (which is a Reference load case in analytical modeling) and say 30% of Live load in calculating seismic weight in seismic definition using IS 1893-2016 .
Kindly guide workflow/ Commands in Physical modeler to include above; without Droping Physical Modeler!
Attaching screenshots:
1) Physical modeler load case to point out a self weight in this model (having Beam-Column only) as 990 KN,
2) Output file indicating Base shear as fraction of this 990 KN itself.
3) A Self weight load case to get only self weight of members load case no. 5
4) a Dead loads under a "Load Group" , which are supposed to be included in Seismic weight calculation
and a Staad file too.
Thanking you.Test_Sesimic_IS1893_Nil load item to define.STDTest_Sesimic_IS1893_Nil load item to define.STDP
Thanks Dear Sye, for solving my point no. 3 and 4, i.e by adding in Loads in Mass type loads, my seismic weight is calculated correctly. As for my primary question , for no option , Glad to know that it is in your future development plans.
You would have to select the Load group 3 in your model ( of category mass) and add the loads as part of that load group from inside the physical modeler. There is no option, as of now, to multiply the existing load groups 1 and 2 factored by 1 and 0.3 respectively and get those included. I think this is something that we should support in the future to avoid duplication of effort. This is in our development plans.
