Please suggest any workflow to make a connection, using C type channel section for column, or built up section having two C type channel sections (back to back or front). At present it seems that under RAM connection only I- type section, hollow type sections etc, are available, but excluding C Channel types.
We are working on more connections to support channel sections, but currently they can only be used as braces. Meanwhile, using a roughly equivalent depth wide flange is your best bet.
Your suggestion as above for equivalent seems only option, till more support for channel section develops. Thanks
Also Please inform, how to change Column orientation in Joint data, under RAM connection standalone edition v13 update 13.02.01.25.

Thanks
Use a beam to column web (BCW) joint instead.
Yes, I will do BCW too.
I am interested in making directly in RAM connection and switching some shapes orientation in this AP itself, that is why for rectangular columns orientation is necessary. Although using staad ordination by specification is applying when members are transferred into RAM. But many times while switching Staad was closing abruptly and I am not able to make a couple of connection designs using Staad to RAM workflow. That is why orientation change by 90 degree is needed. Is it possible?
thanks for your prompt replies.
It looks like the Smart MEP - BCW option needs to be added in the STAAD - Ram Connection mode.
