I thought the source of the issue was punching shear. however, I finally got a green status on all my columns and when I go back to RAM SS the concept light is still yellow. What could be the reason for this?
Typically, the yellow status light occurs when there are unsized steel or other members supporting a two-way deck. See excerpt from the Importing Items into RAM Concept Tech Note below:
If the above does not explain the yellow status light, please share your model using our Secure File Upload and post back here when the file is uploaded.
Hello Karl, I have uploaded. It's a podium style building. I run each module (steel beam, column, concrete analysis and concrete column design) prior to exporting to concept. Once I have worked on the concept file and export back the light remains yellow. As far as I can tell everything should be OK from concept. I have even ran separate models for LTD where all reinforcing has been changed to user type. One thing that could contribute is when I unchecked the "consider wall stiffness from above" a couple columns in ram concrete were no longer working.
Thanks in advance for you help!
There are two concrete, elevated slabs in the model (3rd Floor and 2nd Floors). However, only the 3rd Floor has been imported and analyzed in RAM Concept. You will need to import the 2nd Floor, analyze it, and save it to the .rss file in order for the RAM Concept status light to turn green.
Wow, thanks again!
