I am designing a steel building that has the walls made out of clod formed steel sections. This section is not a simple C-Section with lips, it is little more complicated and is 24" wide and 3.5" deep. Is there a way that I can get STAAD pro to design such a section? I am aware of using the "User Defined Table" But since my shape is not part of a standard section database , I realized that this will not work. Please let me know if you have a work around. Common industry practice is to use a software like CFS (Cold Formed Steel) to design the these sections, but if possible I want to get everything done within STAAD Pro.
Cold formed section design is limited to standard sections in STAAD.Pro. If the shape is non standard, STAAD will not design it.
