Hi,
Following are some questions I would like to ask,
1. May I know how to determine the stresses at top and bot stress plan of every point in a span? Is there any table or command that i can see the detailed stresses because the result show the maximum value of stresses for top and bot stresses.
2. May I know what is the yellow circle numbers mean in diagram attached below?
3. How to turn off the yellow circle number?
Thank you.
You can get the stress for any cross section through the section audit, but plotted strip results only show values at peak locations. I don't know what plot settings or design code you are using, but that cyan plot looks like an allowable stress plot, probably the allowable bottom tensile stress (before additional reinforcing is required). You can turn that line and values off through the plot options.
1. Is that mean that the analysis result only show the peak stresses but not showing the stresses between low stresses and peak stresses?
2. The plot setting I used is all by default and I'm using BS 8110 code.
3. Can you show me how to turn off the line? Can you tell me in details?
Yes, we only show peak values.
Click on Plot - depending on what layer you have open the proper tab of the plot dialog should appear and from there turn off the plot line you don't want to see, e.g. section analysis - max capacity.
For detail on the plot option, please refer to the program manual, Chapter 31 Viewing the Results.
