Hi,
I have been using STAAD Pro Connect Edition V22 (Update 3) for quite a some time. It introduces many new features & latest codes. But the software has immense problem while working. I must admit the user interface has become lot worse than the previous SS6 version. It takes a lot of time & effort to start the software alone, after going through annoying pop ups each & every time asking the same again & again.
Now, coming to the point. The errors keep repeating are listed below :-
1) The software crashes each & every when trying to apply member properties, be it a small model or large.
2) The software crashes each & every time adding concrete design parameters.
The above mentioned errors happen to everybody I know uses this version. I have tried to send error reports to bentley many times, but in vain. The software has become a nightmare to use. I work in a MNC design firm & have a lot of application of STAAD Pro. If bentley does not come up with a patch or something I might have to look for an alternative or start to use the older SS6 version, which by my opinion is one of the best to come out.
Please upgrade to the most recent STAAD.Pro CE version 22.04.00.40. Also, try this:
1.Close all STAAD applications.
2.Go to the following location C:\Users\User_Name\AppData\Local\Bentley\Engineering\
3.There will be a folder named “STAAD.Pro CONNECT Edition”. Rename the folder to “STAAD.Pro CONNECT Edition_1”.
4. Right click on the STAAD icon now and select the option Run as administrator.
One more suggestion, if you update to STAAD.Pro CONNECT Edition V22 Update 4, it will give an option to switch of the pop ups that comes while opening STAAD.
