Error, Plate # 11300 is NOT valid because Node # 4439 is NOT valid.

Hello,

I am unsure why I am getting this error when my last plate element is clearly #11299. I don't understand why there would be plate nos. after 11299. See the following snapshot of the code error.

Please note: I want to keep this code format. I don't want STAAD to reconfigure everything.

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

  • Please re-check your Joint Coordinates and Element Incidences.

For example for element incidences you have specified
    ELEMENT INCIDENCES SHELL
    7000 1 2 89 88 TO 7085 1 1
    REPEAT ALL 50 86 87

    The REPEAT ALL should be
    REPEAT ALL 50 86 86

as both element numbers and joint numbers are going to be incremented by 1. Please check joint coordinates as well. In addition please be aware that once you save the file using the GUI, the REPEAT commands will get replaced by actual coordinates, node numbers, plate numbers etc. So you may want to keep a copy of those commands for your future reference.
