I am using concept to analyze a concrete slab. I am finding the reinforcing to be very impractical. there are many regions of small lengths and tight spacing. How do I make sense of this? Additionally, when I draw equal or more user reinforcing, the program still dumps in more program rebar. Is there a way to determine what is actual the demand in square inches for rebar?

There could be many factors like span detailing, development length, spacing requirements, or ductility design involved in your case.

So for instance, using this method I am seeing the actual square inch requirement. and at this on isolated bar, i can see the actual additional demand is so low. Would it be safe to say this bar can be ignored? Is there a way to tell the program to ignore certain bars is that is the case?
I would turn on the controlling criteria (in visible objects / display options) to see what controls the design first. If it's code minimum, and if it's a bar spacing issue, then it might be OK to ignore the bar, but it's best to know. Use the section audit at one of the sections where the bar area is required to dig into the details.
