I have 3 levels of a concrete two way slab that gets transferred onto steel as shown in the image below. when I look at RAM concrete column design forces I get an axial load of (379 kip). When I look at the same concrete column in RAM frame the forces in that column are drastically different. (RAM Frame 98 kips). Does RAM Frame not take into account the weight of the two way slabs and column sizes and loads applied from two way slab above? Are these force not accounted for when looking at reaction at the base for foundation design?
