Need the Help to start the building planer. I am very new to this software. Can I get a brief introduction when can I get the tutorial videos/pdf. How to start 3Dmodel and assign lodes. Can I import them into the analytical model? I started to use the software but can't get a perfect video to start . I need to Draw beams slabs without importing from dxf file. Its so confusing. Can anyone help me.
Sir, I have seen the video. Came to this conclusion finally It is so difficult to create a model in stand building Modeler.
Can anyone help the following topics. Could not able to find any video regarding this. Even in the help I could not about the topics
1 .Create secondary Beams
2.Joining and dividing beams at selected points.
3. Moving beams and columns.
4.make continuous beams
5.applying loads only for some portion of the beam in the plan
Started to learn this software but find it has many drawbacks. I am thinking to go back to the analytical model only.
Hiwe understand that it doesn't have advance tools like applying partial loads on beam, however there are many advantages using this software. if the Grids are available, geometry creation is simpler. Providing offsets to columns and providing releases to members are much simpler. Applying dead loads like wall load, slab loads are Simpler. Wind and Earthquake loads can be apply quickly. Creating secondary beams is similar to adding primary beam with user defined offset. When you intersect the beams, it auto divides the beams in analysis file. if the geometry is pre-defined there will not be need of moving columns and beams. there is no need to define make beam continuous. in the analysis file, beam are identified as continuous based on end conditions and releases. if any other reason to make beam continuous please share with us.Building planner will help creating basic geometry, however advance modifications are available in Analysis file.
