Dear sir,
As per the attached file when i check the moment diagram for secondary beams 356*171*45 .staad showing as these beams are pinned and in my model,I am considering them as a fixed .Why moment is not coming at the end nodes?roof.std
Thank you
I can see that there are moments at the ends of those beams (i.e. LC3), so it is considered as fixed connection.
The moment is coming but it is coming less than actual if we do the analysis of individual beam the moment at ends will not be less than 150kn.m but in this case, only coming 63kn.m.The load is the same on all secondary beams but the moment value at ends is different.
I think torsional stiffness of I section (main beams) is small, so it makes the connection of secondary beams to act more like pinned rather than fixed. If you would increase the torsional stiffness of main beams (i.e. by using a hollow sections) the end moments would increase too.
There is any parameter in staad to reduce the torsional for I beam.I am giving the value 0.3m for stiff parameter means we will add stiffener at each 0.3m along the length of I beam(primary beam) but the Moment values are still the same.
Design parameter STIFF has an impact on the design results only, but not the analysis results, so it won't effect the bending moment values.
Calculating the moment diagram in finding nursing homes Pasadena the measures of the beams and the placements of the beams is being really very useful that it can make the cost really very effective and economical and the procedures and steps to be calculated have to be noted down properly.
