Hi, i have a problem when ytrying to use floor oneway loads,
I specify the range in x,y,z and i use the "towards" option, because i don´t want the program to use always the short direction:
ONEWAY LOADYRANGE 2.16 2.18 ONE -0.25 XRANGE -14.51 -10.49 ZRANGE -15.51 -2.49 GYYRANGE 2.16 2.18 ONE -0.25 XRANGE -10.51 -8.99 ZRANGE -11.01 -3.39 GY -TOWARDS 103YRANGE 2.16 2.18 ONE -0.25 XRANGE -10.51 0.01 ZRANGE -15.51 -10.99 GY -TOWARDS 115YRANGE 2.16 2.18 ONE -0.25 XRANGE -1.51 0.01 ZRANGE -11.01 -3.39 GYYRANGE 2.16 2.18 ONE -0.25 XRANGE -10.51 0.01 ZRANGE -3.41 -2.49 GYYRANGE 2.16 2.18 ONE -0.25 XRANGE -0.01 18.01 ZRANGE -4.21 -2.79 GYYRANGE 5.81 5.82 ONE -0.25 XRANGE -14.51 -10.49 ZRANGE -15.51 -4.39 GYYRANGE 5.81 5.82 ONE -0.25 XRANGE -10.51 0.01 ZRANGE -15.51 -10.99 GY -TOWARDS 196YRANGE 5.81 5.82 ONE -0.25 XRANGE -0.01 6.01 ZRANGE -12.41 3.09 GY TOWARDS -225YRANGE 5.81 5.82 ONE -0.25 XRANGE 5.99 18.01 ZRANGE -8.61 3.09 GY TOWARDS 241
After entering the load, i checked the loads applied and they seem to be OK. But then i get some warnings:
*=> Warning, Beam # 0 is not found in structure, removed from list.*=> Warning, Check ONEWAY LOAD syntax
After this, the loads diagrams show that the "towards" is not working. The loads now are distributed in the short direction.
Any aideas??
Thanks!
Modestas said: latest STAAD.Pro CE
my observation in STAAD.Pro CONNECT Edition - Version 22.12.00.142 (not sure if this is rectified in STAAD.Pro 2023 - Version 23.00.01.25)
- i've defined floor loads under Reference Loads
- these floor loads, i've applied to the structure using the 'group' option and as the loading is for grating, 'One Way wrt a member 10683' (for instance) is assigned for direction
- but, when the structure / beam is renumbered completely (starting with 20001), it shows error that member 10683 is not found in the model
- and since the loads are not applied, it needs manual intervention to feed the member number again
Sounds like an issue which existed in some older STAAD.Pro versions. If you are not using the latest STAAD.Pro CE (version 22.05.00.131), please upgrade to this version and see if floor loads are working fine there.
