Which is better to intersect the primary beam and secondary beam (Figure1), or Merge the primary beam to be one (Figure2)?
Hi Ibrahim,
if you are using the analytical modeler of STAADPro, you'll need a node at the intersection of the girder and the beam. if you merge the two parts of the girder, your beam will not be supported (connected) by the girder.
