I have this modeled where the lower roof is lateral supported by the columns. When the nodes are attached like shown below, the Wind and EQ loads will be applies to the column? and Frame steel provisions will check accounts for this out of plane load?
Yes. If you want the wind or earthquake loads distributed to the columns in a specific way, use a pseudo-flexible diaphragm for the low roof. You'll need to assign frame numbers too.
