I am trying to create a physical beam from beam elements (beam between columns is divided into no. of small beam element) . Beam elements on either side of the columns are provided with member offsets along the axis of the beam for accounting column dimensions. STAAD is creating physical beam with beam element inside the columns excluding beam elements adjacent to the column ie it is not creating single continuous beam over the columns. How can I overcome this problem?
How are you creating those physical members and what is the purpose of creating it? Which STAAD version are you using? Could you attach that STAAD.Pro model?
