Is there any way to assign a beam over column connection to a beam that's been assigned as cantilever extension at a column in RAM SS? It doesn't seem to work assigning that connection in RAM Connection integrated
You can assign cap plates if this is the top of the column, works with gravity or lateral framing.

Thanks - the model we're trying to add to has perpendicular beams also at that joint intersection - does that prevent the assignment? I can't open the ram model file, sadly because we can't upgrade RAM to 17.2 because of the ACI 6.2.6 reporting error i submitted a ticket about earlier this week.
Yes, that does seem to prevent the cap plates assignment. I think there is an earlier request to allow for this. Meanwhile you are probably best served checking it in Ram Connection Stand-alone. For a cap plate design, it's only the column reactions that matter anyway.
