I'm designing a BCW Shear Connection (Fin plate) and I noticed that the tying capacity is not considered in the design. I tried putting 0 shear load and 1000kN of axial load, and the unity ratio became 0. Where is the axial taken into account in the calculation. Can someone enlighten me. Maybe I missed something.
I tried this with the last version of RAM Connections with EN 1993-EC3 and got this:
1 ton for shear and 2 tons for axial loads.
Created the report and got this:
For which both loads are being used. Please verify that you are using v 13.04
