Dear sir,
The attached model is showing geometric warning as "Members are incompatible". Kindly advise me to proceed further. and also explain me what way i can get rid of that.
Thanks and Regards
Alagu
I don't see anything in that file when I review it with the latest version, 13.04. Perhaps you are using something much older or with custom data. Usually a warning like that is for a shear connection that's too deep, encroaching into the beam fillet.
RAM Connection generates that (incorrect) warning all the time for me. For instance, it calculates the available length incorrectly whenever the supported beam has a cope and a negative girder top edge to beam distance, which happens every time there is a beam alongside open-web steel joists (typically a 2 1/2" or 5" seat depth). As you can see in the example screenshot below, there is plenty of room for the 6" shear tab, but RAM appears to be subtracting cope length and the top edge distance from the supported beam "T" dimension, effectively double-counting those 2 dimensions.
What I do to work around it in these cases is to export the results to Word and erase the warning and change the Max Value item to the correct length manually.
