I currently have an W8x10 D and I'm getting a warning stating that : WARNING: DESIGN OF SECTION FOR MEMBER # 613 IS NOT SUPPORTED. I made a double wide flange section in the section wizard and added to my structure. When I run it I am getting this *** ERROR : FILE NOT FOUND C:\Users\XNguyen\AppData\Local\Temp\Bentley\StaadP

I did not specify for STAAD to look for the section in a temp folder. The .UPT and .SEC are both in the same folder as the staad file. I've attempt to edit the command editor with this :

START USER TABLE
TABLE 1 DOUBLEW8X10.upt
END

and I also tried specify the file path to something like this:

START USER TABLE
TABLE 1 D:\'Desktop'\..........\DOUBLEW8X10.upt
END

Any idea on what's happening here?

Thanks,
X

RE: Does staad support the design of W8x10 D (double profile)?

Design if double wide flanges sections in not supported by AISC code.
