Hi all,
Deflection results from the RAM Concept model don't seem to be correct. I've spent hours on this and cant figure out why this is the case. Any input is appreciated.
For example:
- 200 slab, 10.4m x 8m bay - only 16 mm long term strip deflection
- 1.8 m cantilever with 1.5 mm end deflection.
I'm expecting larger deflections.
Thanks,Bassam

What plot are you using? I checked All DL combination and it's only 3.2 mm. That's due to SW and 1 kN/m^2 applied load. It's small, but the slab is well supported by a series of walls below. I don't see anything wrong in the gravity loads or analysis. I would check these first order deflection contours first before moving on to strip-based long term deflection results.
Hi Seth,
I was referring to Rule Set Designs>Service Design & Long term strip deflections. Max deflection appears to be as stated in my previous post.
I was expecting around 20-25 mm at mid span, and maybe around 10-15 mm for the cantilever portion (top left). Keeping in mind this is an RC slab, not PT.
