hello guys, i m modeling custom channel with lip section so i have to find out all value like Moi and ixx and iyy torsional, warping area etc . is that any way to import the cad model to get this section properties of all

I assume this question is related to STAAD.Pro. You can use the Define Profile Polygon option within User Table > General sections or the Section Wizard ( Fresketch mode) to draw the section and get the properties that way. Freesketch has an option to import a dxf, which you can try but if that does not work, you will still be able to draw it in Freesketch. If you do not need to carry out a design, the Define Profile Polygon method would work better as it would display the actual shape of the section in the rendered view. However if you need to design, you would have to get the properties following either approach and then directly add the section as part of the existing section database.
STAAD.Pro automatically assumes that the line element used to represent any section passes through the cg of the cross section ( actually shear center to be more precise). There is nothing that you have to do explicitly for that.
THANKS FOR THE CLARIFICATION, AS U SAID FREE SKETCH IN SECTION WIZARD THERE IS NO OPTION FOR A COLD-FORMED STEEL CHANNEL WITH A LIP SECTION. ACTUALLY I M CALCULATED ALL PROPERTIES AND IMPORTED THEM IN THE SECTION DATABASE ITSELF SO PLZ CHECK THE MODEL WHETHER I HAVE TO SHIFT MY CG OR IT IS WORKING PERFECTLYSTEEL CUSTOM SECTION CHECK.STD
