Select and Select Optimise for Tapered I section - IS Code

Question

Hi there 
 I have a steel model with number of Tapered I section profiles. I want the Select Optimise to use from this list and and come up with least weight structure. This is using IS 800. Can someone help.

Member optimization feature for Tapered sections is not implemented in STAAD.Pro.

If you have a custom wide flange sections which do not taper, then you should create those sections in the User Provided Table (UPT). If you have a UPT table which consists several same shape sections, then the optimization will be performed based on those entered sections.
