Hi,
I have already meshed the plate, but as you can see in the image below, the surface of the partial plate pressure load that I want to apply (within the four points) does not match the meshing of the plate. Is it possible to apply this pressure load without necessarily having to modify the plate meshing?
Thanks in advance!
Ignacio
You would have to define the coordinates considering each 50 cm x 50 cm square plate. The coordinate the at the center of the plate will be X=0,Y=0. The local coordinate of the corner nodes of the plate would be (25,25) (25,-25) (-25,-25) (-25,25). So depending on the loaded area you would know how to define it in terms of the local coordinate for each such plate. Actually for many of these plates these local coordinates would turn out to be the same.

Ok, thanks. But since i have already done the plate meshing (50cm x 50cm squares), in terms of the local coordinates of which 50x50 square do I have to reference the partial plate pressure load?
I mean, there are no individual plates anymore since i made the meshing, just 50x50 squares.
I still dont understand.
You would not need to readjust the mesh to apply the loading. For all plates which are partially loaded, you may apply the Partial Plate Pressure load. You would need to enter the coordinates of the corners of the loaded area in terms of the local coordinates of the individual plates (origin being at the center).
