Staad Splitted R.C.C Beam Design !

Question

If we model the retaining wall with attachment of beam the beam is splitting into the plate element size. How to design the multiple splitted beams in a single span is designed and analysed as a single member. Please explain.

When beams are attached to a mesh of plates, those would be split at the plate element nodes. This is essential to establish connectivity between the plates and beams. These beams would still be considered as continuous beams for the analysis in STAAD.Pro. The design would however be done for each segment as STAAD.Pro can design analytical members only. If you need to carry out a design for the physical beam, you may use Advanced Concrete Design (RCDC)
