I am wondering if there is a way I can use one large plate to connect all of the braces and the beam to the column, using bolts into the large gusset that is shop welded to the column. Can I replicate this in RAM? if so, how? It would help to know if there are any special design considerations or if there is an example from AISC to base things on.

RE: Is there a way to customize this connection in RAM so the braces and beam all bolt to a common plate?

Ahhh I see... I thought as much! Is there a plan to add this functionality? If not I would request it, as it makes a pretty clean and simple connection detail for install/erectors.

RE: Is there a way to customize this connection in RAM so the braces and beam all bolt to a common plate?

Not possible yet. You can make the connection to the column with a continuous angle, but we don't have the ability to stop the beam short and connect all three member to a super-gusset. (Re: PRODUCT BACKLOG ITEM 568008: CBB connection, allow beam to be cut short and attached directly to continuous gusset plate)
